Vaccination against influenza. Basic teaching about vaccination and recommendations of doctors

In 2019 it is planned to inoculate about 40% of the population (75% in risk groups), including at the expense of local budgets and personal funds of citizens — 19%, own funds of enterprises and organizations — 8%, and the republican budget — 13%.

The current season is expected to average activity of influenza viruses.

Children will prevail in the age structure of the incidence.

For whom the vaccine is intended:

children aged from 6 months to 3 years;

children and adults with chronic diseases;

persons with immunosuppression;

people over 65 years old;

pregnant;

medical workers;

children and adults in institutions with a round-the-clock stay;

service workers, educational institutions, trade and transport organizations.

It takes from 7 to 21 days for immunity to form. The duration of immunity lasts up to 6-12 months.

The effect of vaccination:

Between November 2018 and March 2019, more than 139 thousand cases of influenza were prevented (including more than 16.7 thousand cases of complicated forms);

prevented economic damage — $ 75.6 million equivalent; for each dollar invested in vaccination, an effect of $ 12.5 equivalent was obtained;

the incidence among vaccinated individuals was 12.3 times lower than the incidence among unvaccinated persons.

Mass vaccination will last until 1st of December.
